THE GENTLE BIRTH DOULA
Birth &Â Postpartum Services &Â Support
Every birth is special, whether it takes place at the hospital or at home. Every birth is beautiful and deserving of celebration. No matter how you birth your baby, everyone can benefit from having an experienced doula present at the moment of delivery. The Gentle Birth Doula assures that each client is fully informed, supported, and empowered throughout their journey to welcoming their newest addition. You can contact me to learn more about my services, and how I can help you bring your own child into this beautiful world.

Who I Am
ABOUT ME
As a DONA trained doula supporting the Chippewa Valley and Eau Claire areas, I offer personalized prenatal, birthing, and postnatal support. My goal is to give you and your family the attention and knowledge you need to make informed decisions about your pregnancy and labor process.
MY SERVICES
How I Assist
As a respected doula, I pride myself in providing you and your partner with care, understanding, information and support throughout, during, and after the birthing process. Our initial meeting will help me get a better understanding of how you plan to birth and how I can best serve you, as every pregnancy is different. To schedule an initial consultation, or to learn more about my practice, please contact me.

PRENATAL SESSION (1-2 HOURS)
Informative and Compassionate
This first session is a "get to know each other" and discuss your birth preferences in detail. This will help us to establish a birth plan that is unique to you. We will go over the essentials for a hospital bag, practice labor positions while at home and in the hospital, timing of contractions, use of the rebozo, massage techniques, and aromatherapy.

LABOR SUPPORT
Here for You
On-call 24/7 two weeks prior to your estimated due date until the baby arrives.

Continuous, uninterrupted labor support for the duration of birth until family is settled.

Throughout your labor, I will provide you emotional support including suggestions for labor positions, breathing techniques, and positive affirmations to help you progress.
I will provide hands-on support and various techniques from my training, including various massage techniques, acupressure points, rebozo, and essential oils. I will assist when needed while ensuring the birth partner serves as the 'main' support role.

I am more than willing to photograph/video your birth experience if I am not fulfilling another obligation during labor.

POSTNATAL SESSION (1 VISIT | 2 HOURS)
Offering Support
During the postpartum session we will go over the details of your labor, adjusting to life after birth of baby, address breastfeeding challenges, if any, and offer additional resources if needed. During this time, your family will be given any birth photos and birth notes.
BIRTH DOULA FEE
The total fee for these services is $800. I ask for a deposit of $400 (applied towards the total fee) and a contract filled out once you have chosen me as your doula. This secures your birth date on my calendar. The remainder of the fee ($400) is due when you are 36 weeks pregnant.

I believe everyone should have access to a doula if they choose to have one. I do offer discounts for single parents, home birth and birth center clients, and previous birth clients so please do not hesitate to reach out.
